This Connecticut winter wedding was the epitome of understated yet elegant New England charm. The bride and groom each got ready in suites at the cozy yet chic GrayBarns. GrayBarns is an inn and dining space with updated, stylish interior design, but still feels grounded in that farmhouse way. The bridesmaids laughed over mimosas in matching pajamas, then portraits were taken in the rustic barn area. A touch of snow and ice covered the ground and the decor elements further enhanced the seasonal magic - warm lighting (candles, fairy lights), a color palette of earthy greens and creamy whites, and winter florals (pine, eucalyptus, sprigs) created an elegant, intimate, and enchanting atmosphere. The ceremony was at the nearby historic and charming Talmadge Hill Church - a quaint 19th-century church clad in white and set amidst one of the prettiest residential areas in Fairfield County. The bride and groom were whisked away in a classic red corvette to the reception, which took place at the Tavern at GrayBarns. Low light and long candlelit tables, and atmospheric elements like fireplaces, wood beams and seasonal drinks further set the winter tone. The intimate experience of the room made the wedding feel like an elevated dinner party equipped with and an amazing band playing alongside guests seated at the tables. It was one of those days that felt both timeless and brand-new - elegant but never stuffy, full of sweet seasonal details, romantic moments, and one epic dance party!
