Fine art school portraits in Connecticut & New York

My goal is to provide a custom, boutique experience to all families attending the schools who have chosen La Luna Photography to photograph their students.

My service is personal and professional. Unlike large corporate photography operations, I only take on a few, select schools so that I can provide superior customer service and artistic images for all children. But that doesn’t mean you have to compromise on professionalism, quality, or time. I provide a more personal, and what I believe to be better, experience for both the schools and the families I work with.

My aim is to capture the essence of the children in front of the camera. I will never force a smile. No awkward poses or faces, just the authentic child, on the day. The results are genuine and timeless portraits that are far from the traditional outdated photos we have become accustomed to, with bright flashes and unflattering, busy backgrounds.  I provide a light and fun experience for your children and take pride in providing an environment where the kids can relax and be themselves, naturally.

School Photography Information

The la luna experience

I provide a relaxed, professional portrait experience for all school children. I direct the children into a variety of sitting and standing poses, usually averaging about 1-2 minutes per child. This can take place outdoors on school grounds or indoors with a classic white or black backdrop.

I edit and deliver the images to each family via online ordering galleries. The family may chose the photos they want to purchase, choosing either digital downloads or prints. I offer a variety of collections and a-la-carte products to fit everyone's needs. I also provide boutique product choices such as framed prints, photo cards, and canvas gallery wraps. A sample price list is available, if requested.

  • No payment is due up front, all profit is made from ordering.

  • Prints are ordered online and delivered directly to the families within two weeks of picture day.

  • I provide all equipment needed for photo day.

  • I schedule one make-up day for any absent students.

  • I handle any questions from parents and families about ordering and products.

  • I take sibling, staff and class photos depending on the school’s needs.

  • I can work with your school to provide custom services that fit your unique needs.

  • I have worked with hundreds of kids ages 0-18 this past year.

  • I work with each individual school to schedule shoots any time during the academic year.
