There’s something special about fall.

The air turns crisp. The light gets softer and warmer. Kids seem a little freer. And families… well, families just look like themselves.

These sessions are designed to feel more like an evening outside together than a formal photo shoot. We play, we explore, we chase the good light, and we let the real moments lead.

I’d love to create a set of images that feel like this season of your family’s life.

Every Fall Family Session includes:

  • 45-60 minutes of photography at golden hour or early AM

  • Guidance on what to wear and how to prepare (especially with little ones)

  • A carefully chosen outdoor location with beautiful fall color  

  • Full online gallery of all your images in color and black & white

  • High-resolution digital files with a print release 

  • A relaxed, playful experience focused on connection (not perfect poses)

Where are the best places for family photos in New Canaan?

Waveny Park: The crown jewel of New Canaan. It features a stunning Tudor mansion, sweeping open fields, wooded trails, and the beautiful Waveny Walled Garden. It is ideal for both elegant and candid family sessions.

Irwin Park: A gorgeous, open 36-acre property featuring stone walls, tree-lined walking paths, and a magical secret-garden feel. It is much smaller and often less crowded than Waveny, making it perfect for younger children.

New Canaan Nature Center: Offers 40 acres of diverse natural beauty. You can utilize the wildflower gardens, a bird sanctuary, a greenhouse, and scenic boardwalks over wetlands for a rustic, organic family session.
